In recent years immigration to Ireland has increased tremendously. Previously the country was known for having large number of emigration. Rate of unemployment in Ireland is very low compared to any other European country. 9% of the Labor force in Ireland is foreign born.
To work in Ireland, applicants from European Economic Area do not require a work permit, but for non EEA applicants will need an approval from the government. Ireland does not believe in points based system, it favors to work in a system based on employment opportunities in the skills shortage areas.
